Beautiful Gloom Machine update with some cool news…. and some Uber cool news.

First, the cool news.

After yet another quiet period of BGM at the end of 2009, 2010 is gearing up to be the year of BGM.
The first Gloom Machine comic/magazine is currently in production and will be out early in the year. With 4 fully illustrated stories and a photo spread of our featured BGM, the first issue is something you don’t want to miss. if you’ve enjoyed the photos and the little teasers of story from the world of Gloom Machine, the magazine will rock your pretty striped socks off! So keep an eye on these pages and for the new BGM official website relaunch.

And now the Uber cool news.

Dr Gloom has almost completed work on his 6th orb and therefore will be sending his young scout, Mara, to find his next Beautiful Gloom Machine. So, for a short period of time, the door is open for new BGM recruits.

on the weekend i had the pleasure of shooting Lydia in the role of our brand new Beautiful Gloom Machine 805.
After our first meet and chat we decided on a test shoot to workout makeup and costume for her character. Our very first inspiration was a tomb raider character of sorts but with our special BGM touch.

Caesi who has modeled for me in the past and who happens to be a BGM her self as 803, came along on the day to lend a hand behind the scenes.

The day was perfect and we headed to our favourite desolate locations where i’ve done many shoots before.

Skies stayed clear but oh so bloody windy. The wonderful work the girls did on Lydias hair was hard to capture perfectly with the strong winds blowing it in every direction.

We pressed on as our poor Lydia began to get colder and colder (oh yeah besides the strong wind, it was damn cold). So at every pause, Caesi ran my trusty old coat over to Lydia for warmth.

We hit evening and as the sun was setting we moved to an open field and took the last shots as Lydia like a trooper rolled out her last lot of great poses to finish the day.

Extremely pleased with the shots. A few little changes to makeup and costume as we plan for our first official 805 shoot.
